NOTES OF LMAA MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING HELD 11.9.2006

PRESENT : Al Oswald, Frank Smith, Sue Hughes, Angela Johnson

APOLOGIES : Kate Evans ? , Kester Clegg; Ernie darrell ( invited to attend but unable )

1.  NOTICE OF AL'S INTENTION TO RESIGN AT NEXT AGM AND DISCUSSION ARISING

·                     Al gave notice and outlined his reasons.  Sue has agreed to take over as Lettings Secretary and to attend quarterly meetings organised by COYC.  Although Al has suggested it a number of times COYC are reluctant to allow Association Representatives to attend alongside Lettings Secretaries.  Al is liasing with Sue re format of introduction of new tenants.

·                     Currently 55 on Low Moor waiting List ( approx 3 years' wait)  Need for quicker turnover but current timetable of visits by Judith ward, warning letters etc mean the process of eviction takes nearly 12 months.  1/2 plots only are being given out.  It would be worth publicising to plotholders that if they experience difficulty in upkeep eg for injury, they must inform the Committee.

·                     Boundary hedges need some attention and it appears that pathways have only been cut 2x during the year to date.  Ernie might be interested to monitor the hedge problem

·                     Al's Other duties - answering queries / e-mails/ tel messages ( esp. when news like Fulford Cross emerges)/ Newsletters ( Perhaps Kate may take Newsletters on? )
